Our Member of the Month June 2019 Is
My parents named me Heather Lucille upon my C-section birth on January 10, 1984 in Riverside, CA. Originally, my middle name was going to be "Marie" but their minds shifted towards Lucille. When asked for the inspiration behind my nomenclature, they didn't have any particular impetus other than they liked it. I think I gave them the idea from beyond the veil. Therein lies my driving understanding: I chose to be here, on this planet, with this family and set of experiences-at this time. I chose this journey. But I'm just remembering this. Right now, I'm coming out of 30+ years of amnesia and trauma (life before being "woke"). It's hard work to take back one's power and become the captain of her ship again. Science of Mind gives me tools to turn pain into powerful perspective and always gives me a choice. Do I remain stuck or do I break free from the learned limitations that have haunted my family? As a Practitioner, I engage this question daily. The choice is easy: I believe my main mission, as an expression of Source incarnate, is to fully embody, embrace and to enjoy this very spiritual experience in human form without limitations. Every fiber of my being rejects anything that may constrict me; I am unlimited! How I get there depends on the beliefs I carry with me or weigh me down. I've grown increasingly fond of stating, "I ain't got time for that!" And as Rev. Thelma reminds us, we've already had that experience, don't need to do it again. I'm so ready to live the life my highest self imagined for me before my physical self entered the world. Wait, scratch that: I AM living it. And so it is. Heather Lucille Orum, RScP
